The Miss Teen Northeast is a philanthropist too, who promotes welfare of and children. She has evinced that she is not just an actress but a benefactress too, hence awarded the First Indian to be among the top 10 in the pageant, Miss Universal Peace and Humanity. FART Magazine caught her all prepared to celebrate Saraswati Puja tomorrow.
Saraswati Puja officially known as Vasant Panchami, is a festival that marks the arrival of spring. As various regions of India is gearing up to welcome the Goddess of Music, Art, Wisdom, and Learning, the entire air has something special. From spending the entire night decorating the puja mandap to wearing the best kurta-pajama or saree and the fun of wooing that special person, Saraswati puja is always special for Bangalis, especially, the youngsters.
Ramayan and FIR actress Mahika Sharma have begun preparations for Saraswati Puja since the previous night. Sharma said, “Yesterday I went with my family to buy colours, fruits and other necessary things we need gor puja. It’s a great time and very first traditional celebration of the year.”
Mahika who was a good student at school is well-connected with her school teachers. Also the model turned actress Mahika, who is in Mumbai, has planned a visit to her school on the day.
“During my school days I used to take part in the decoration of Saraswati puja. From alpona to the puja bhog, I miss everything. I remember how much fun we had while drawing a huge alpona on our school premises. Not only that, it was also fun while inviting the other schools to visit our premises, especially because this was the only time the girls are allowed to visit the boys’ school and vice versa,” Mahika giggled while sharing all the mischievous activities, she and her friends carried out during the visits. She revealed how she tried to woo her school masters too.
The Second ‘Valentine’s Day’
Saraswati Puja brings different emotions, and with that it’s known to be the Bengalis’ Second Valentine’s Day. Why so? Youngsters, as for in any celebration shows off their coloful attires and don’t miss a chance to woo their crush.
Talking about the same Miss Teen Northeast Mahika Sharma said, “Saraswati puja is indeed the second Valentine’s day for Bengalis. Many of my friends used to wait to meet the girl during puja and woo them. Many successful pairs have been made during Saraswati puja. Years ago on Saraswati puja, I remember how I tried to woo my social science and economic teacher. But now I feel so shy remembering it.”
Memories of Saraswati Puja
Mahika was just too excited to share her memories of Saraswati Puja. She said that when she was a toddler her mom used to drape her sister in beautiful sarees and she used to simply join her sister in casuals. But as she grew up, things changed and that she used to keep a close eye on her mother’s best sarees. “After wearing the saree I used to flaunt it in front of my friends. And not to forget about the days when I came home with a torn saree as I couldn’t handle it or may be with a black spot on it. I also remember about the consequences I had to face after coming home,” Mahika broke out into laughter as she recalls how she used to get scolded by her mom.
Mahika Sharma will be soon seen in the upcoming bollywood movie The Modern Culture, along side the British porn actor, Danny D. which opened way to many criticisms.
