Most people have a lot of acne and pimple outbreaks at some point of time in their life, usually during their adolescence when they go through puberty. The reason could plainly be just hormones or even stress. Pimples don’t really mean that your skin is dirty — in fact, over-cleaning at times can also irritate your skin all the more, leaving it without any natural oils for replenishment. The thing is that, hormones aren’t controllable, but there are simple changes you can make to eliminate your breakouts. You can have your glowing, healthy, and pimple-free skin back in no time at all.
Just follow these simple tricks and tips given below.
Exercise on a regular basis
Exercising does a number of things to help reduce your pimples. There is a hormone called endorphin which is released, which helps to lower stress levels and hence reduces oil-production, making you sweat which in turn also helps to clean out dead skin cells. Exercise on a daily basis for a minimum of thirty minutes in order to help reduce your acne not only on your face, but also on your chest, shoulders, and back, the major problem areas.
2. Avoid touching your face often
This is very difficult, as people are prone to touching their faces on a regular basis now and again. Be careful about scratching your face as well, resting your face on your hands, and picking at pimples which is the worst of all! Most importantly, don’t ever pop your zits or even try to squeeze out blackheads, as it will only introduce more bacteria in to your skin making your acne problems worse.
3. Eat healthy and try to avoid junk food
Foods that are highly processed and contain a lot of fatty oils increase the amount of pimples on your body. Getting the proper nutrients from whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and protein help your skin to regenerate faster and limit unnecessary oil production. It is key to maintain a proper balanced diet.
4. Shower often and wash your face frequently
Showering regularly helps to keep oil production of your skin low, kills the bacteria, and rinses away the unwanted dead skin cells. Wash your entire body with a mild cleanser and use shampoos that limit oil production on your scalp as well. Be sure to wash your face often too, with a good cleanser.
5. Drink lots of water
As simple as it sounds, that’s the solution to many problems! Although we’ve all heard to drink eight glasses of water a day, there isn’t a particular amount on how much water one should consume in a day. Water aids in detoxifying your body and purifying your skin, so make sure you drink water often throughout the day. Water is the key.
6.Your Make-up should be oil free
If you wear makeup, you may be stuck in a crazy cycle of covering up pimples and acne while trying to simultaneously look good. Whenever possible, avoid wearing make-up at all though as it clogs your pores over the course of the day.
